Terms of Service

CSVLens is a web-based data analysis tool that allows users to:

• Upload and analyze CSV files locally in their browser
• Generate SQL queries using natural language via AI
• Create visualizations and dashboards from their data
• Export analysis results in various formats

The Service uses DuckDB WASM for local data processing and AI models for natural language query generation.

2.1 Account Creation: You must create an account to use certain features of the Service. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Be responsible for all activities under your account

2.2 Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent.

3.1 Free Tier:

• 50,000 AI tokens per month
• Up to 5 concurrent datasets
• All core features included
• No credit card required

3.2 Pro Tier ($12/month):

• 1,000,000 AI tokens per month
• Unlimited datasets
• Priority AI processing
• Export features (PDF, PNG)
• Priority support

3.3 Billing:

• Pro subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• You can cancel anytime - cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period
• No refunds for partial months
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Reverse engineer or decompile the Service
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Scrape or harvest data from the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
• Generate excessive API requests to circumvent usage limits
• Use the Service for any illegal or fraudulent purpose

5.1 Our IP: The Service, including its design, code, features, and content, is owned by CSVLens and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 Your Data: You retain all rights to your CSV files and data. We claim no ownership over your data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service.

5.3 Generated Content: SQL queries, visualizations, and analyses generated by the Service are yours to use, export, and share.

6.1 Uptime: We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to factors beyond our control.

6.2 Changes to Service: We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

7.1 "As Is" Service: The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

7.2 AI Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated SQL queries may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying the correctness of generated queries and results.

7.3 Data Loss: We are not responsible for data loss. You should maintain backups of important data.

7.4 Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, CSVLens shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues.

8.1 By You: You may delete your account at any time through the settings page.

8.2 By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Your payment method fails and you don't update it
• We are required to do so by law

8.3 Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your account data after 30 days.

You agree to indemnify and hold CSVLens harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your data or content

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

11.1 Informal Resolution: Please contact us first at support@csvlens.app to resolve any disputes informally.

11.2 Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court.

11.3 Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive the right to participate in class actions.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13.1 Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and CSVLens regarding the Service.

13.2 Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

13.3 Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.

13.4 Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.
